Key takeaways
- Three to four posts per creator per flight captures most of the available reach.
- Spacing beats stacking: same-week clustering suppresses later posts.
- The second post usually outperforms the first — budget for it.
- Cadence matters less than consistency of format.
The dataset
These observations come from Verdra Media campaigns across AI, productivity and commerce brands, covering roughly 310 million views. They are directional patterns from our own roster, not platform-published research — treat them as a starting hypothesis for your own testing.
Post two beats post one
A creator's first branded post for an unfamiliar product tends to underperform their second. The audience needs one exposure to place the product; the second post lands in a warm context. Campaigns that book a single post per creator systematically capture the weaker half of the pair.
Where frequency stops paying
Returns flatten sharply after the fourth post from the same creator inside a four-week flight. Beyond that, incremental posts mostly reach the same viewers and engagement rate slides. If you need more reach, add creators, not posts.
Spacing a flight
- Week 1: launch posts from a third of the roster.
- Week 2: second wave, plus boosting behind week-one winners.
- Week 3: follow-up posts from week-one creators — the warm second exposure.
- Week 4: final wave and any long-form or carousel adaptations.
Consistency of format outranks cadence
Rosters that keep a recognisable format across posts — same hook style, same demonstration shape — outperform rosters that vary wildly, even at lower frequency. Familiarity does part of the persuasion work that frequency is usually credited with.
Frequently asked questions
How many creators should a flight use?
Enough to reach the target with three to four posts each. For most mid-size campaigns that lands between 8 and 25 creators.
Does posting time of day matter?
Less than the platform's own distribution decisions. We see far larger swings from hook quality than from scheduling.
